In the area of educational assessment, CITL is establishing a PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to improve the quality of education at Tokyo Tech. However, the purpose of this PDCA cycle is not only to improve the curricula and ensure the high quality of instructional design. It also aims to benchmark against the educational practices of the world’s leading universities and use the resulting data to assess Tokyo Tech’s teaching (Institutional Effectiveness). Through data-based planning, summarizing, and evaluating, Tokyo Tech will take action to improve its education.
