In the area of faculty development, CITL carries out activities to support the development of Tokyo Tech faculty, staff and teaching assistants (TAs). Grounded in instructional design pedagogy, the various activities included in this training are designed to improve a course’s effectiveness, efficiency and attractiveness to students.
・Support the development of Tokyo Tech faculty, staff, and TAs
・Implement a plan for FD/SD/TAD to take place about twice monthly
・Train instructors in how to deliver course content in English
・Create manuals (for instructional design, English language teaching methods, etc.)
・Develop teaching methods
・Consult with faculty; support students and TAs
